Lincolns Care recognises that every prospective service user should have the opportunity to choose a home which suits their needs. To facilitate that choice we do the following:

• Provide a variety of properties for the differing needs and requirements of our service users.
• Modern furnished one bedroom flats for service users who wish total independence.
• Modern and furnished shared housing for individuals who show a preference to sharing a home with friends or acquaintances.
• Give each service user a Tenancy Agreement specifying the terms of their tenancy.
• Ensuring that every prospective service user has their needs thoroughly assessed before a decision on admission is taken.
• Offer introductory visits to prospective service users and avoid unplanned admissions except in cases of emergency. There are a number of properties, which are intended to provide good amenities locally.

Environment

The physical environment of each property is designed for the service user’s convenience and comfort:

• The buildings and grounds are maintained in a safe condition.
• Toilet, washing and bathing facilities are modern and suitable for all service users.
• Any specialist equipment for individuals is identified.
• Service users have safe, comfortable bedrooms personalised with their own possessions..
• The premises are kept clean, hygienic with polices in place to control the spread of infection.
• Individual service users take responsibility for their own bedroom/flat with the appropriate support.
